Congratulations! You have found probably the most complete listing on the internet of Clifford D. Simak's Science Fiction Short Stories. Here you will find a listing of all of his stories and where to find them. Each of the stories is followed by a comprehensive listing of where to locate them in magazines and anthologies that were published in English. I have only included lisitngs for the major North American magazines at this time but there are some listings for other magazines from around the world if they are not reprints of American editions (such as Astounding). All listings for anthologies are for those from around the world where the story has been printed in English. As an added treat, you can pass your mouse over the title of the magazine or anthology and view an image of the magazine or book. Java Scripts must be enabled in your browser. Note the update on "The History of the Science Fiction Magazine Vol. 1, 1926-1935", ed. Mike Ashley, Henry Regnery Company, 1976. Apparently the cover variation is slightly different from the New English Libary 1974 release and the Henry Regnery Company, 1976 release. The image that I had before for the New English Library 1974 version was in fact the image for the Henry Regnery Company, 1976 version. I have switched those around in this update. Thanks to Bud Zell for pointing that out to me. Again, if you have better images than those I have available or if you have suggestions or updates for my listings please email me.
I have removed the I have tried to separate the listing of all of the alternate titles for each story as well. If the story appears under an alternate title it will have its own listing under that alternate title and will give references to magazines or anthologies only where it appeared under that alternate title. The reference immediately following each short story title is for the first appearance of that title. I have had to break the listing over six pages as there are over 500 images availabe at present and each of these are preloaded with the page. To save on loading time the six volumes you see above can be clicked on to view the listings. I hope to make available a complete listing for download in PDF format as a text only file. I will also continue to update these pages with new images when they become available. Where there are no images available the text will not be highlighted.
