- THE CUBES OF GANYMEDE (assumed to be lost)*****
Notes:- *"Aesop", as read by Clifford Simak, was issued on LP and cassette on the Caedmon label in 1980.
- **I have included in my listings all of the short stories that were later compiled into the novel "City". Each were published separately as short stories with the last, "Epilog" appearing in the 1973 "Astounding, John W. Campbell Memorial Anthology", 21 years after the last story "The Trouble With Ants" appeared in, 1951. I have not listed every edition of the novel/collection "City" as they are too numerous to list. I have opted to list the first edition from Gnome in, 1952 and the 1982 Ace edition which was the first complete edition to include all of the stories with "Epilog" as the final story.
- ***"Beachhead", as read by Jonathan Frakes, was issued on audio cassette by Durkin Hayes Publishing in 1995. Cassette also includes Frakes reading "Over The River and Through The Woods" & "Founding Father"
- ****"Courtesy" was adapted as an X-Minus-1 radio play. It is available on both Cassette and CD through http://www.radiospirits.com.
- *****Sam Moskowitz states in "Seekers of Tomorrow" that "The Cubes of Ganymede" was Simak's first science fiction story. Simak submitted the story to "Amazing Stories" in eary, 1931. The April, 1933, issue of "Science Fiction Digest" listed "The Cubes of Ganymede" as one of the stories accepted by "Amazing Stories" for publication. However, in, 1935 the story was returned to Simak without having been published. The story remained unpublished and is assumed to be lost.
