- ****"A Pipeline To Destiny" is a newly discovered short story by Simak. It runs approximately 12 pages. Phil Stephensen-Payne, editor of "The Collected Stories of
Clifford D. Simak Volume I: Eternity Lost & Other Stories" published by Darkside Press has managed to optain a copy of this rare story. Phil says: "According to a note from Simak it was written some twenty years earlier but was 'never finished'.
He seems to mean unfinished in terms of 'final polish' because the story does come to a conclusion. It's an odd little item, but certainly of interest to Simak fans and will be reprinted in Volume 5 of the Darkside series." If you haven't already
ordered the first volume, and Phil says he's hard at work on volume 2, then you can order it from http://www.darksidepress.com/simakstories.html.
- *****"Project Mastodon" was adapted as an X-Minus-1 radio play and is available to read online through "Project Gutenberg. The story can be viewed at: http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/22216
